The Hi-Five Short Film Competition – A Chance for Zimbabwean filmmakers to win a Sony HDR Camcorder and more

Do you think you can shoot a 5 minute film that can revolutionize the filmmaking game in Zimbabwe? Then this is your chance. The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, and other partners including MMX Rental have partnered The Zimbabwe Film Festival Trust(ZIFFT) to sponsor the Hi-Five Short Film Competition.

The competition is open to Zimbabwean filmmakers only. There are 3 prizes up for grabs.

First Prize

Winner will get a Sony HDR-PJ410 video camera with a Sandisk memory card and a bag plus state-of-the-art equipment rental valued at $500 for you next project.

Second Prize

State of the art equipment rental valued at $300 for you next project.

Third Prize

State-of-the-art equipment rental valued at $200 for you next project.

Competition Rules

Genre: Open

Length: Less than 5 minutes

Sound: No Dialogue, nor music videos. Emphasis should be on narrative, and well-told stories with strong characters, to make it a compelling visual work of art.
