Zimbabwean music legend, Dr Oliver Mtukudzi has been honored at the Africa Music Awards(AFRIMA) that were held on the 12th of November 2017 in Nigeria.

‘Tuku’ as he is affectionately known by his fans both in Zimbabwe and evidently from across Africa and the world, received the African Legend Award for his contribution to the music industry in Africa and the world.

The All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA, is designed to promote the distinct rich African music worldwide, engaging millions of fans by propelling African music to glorious pinnacles beyond the borders of Africa.

Dr Oliver Mtukudzi joins other African legends who have previously be honored with the same award namely Ladysmith Black Mambazo who won the award in 2015 and Manu Dibango who took home the award last year.

Tuku who recently collaborated with Joss Stone for a rendition of his hit song Neria, also boasts of big collaborations with African artists, no wonder he was honored with this award.
